Residential landscaping in Arvada.
A yard planned around your house, your slope and Colorado.
Alpha & Omega Landscapers designs and installs residential landscapes in Arvada and the northwest Denver metro: new sod, rock and mulch beds, trees and shrubs, sprinkler systems, landscape boulders and water features. Every job starts with a free site visit.
We have been doing this work since 1956. The goal on every yard is the same: a plan that fits the house, the slope and the way you use the space, built so it holds up to Colorado weather.
What we install.
Ground work, planting and irrigation from one company, so the pieces fit together.
Sod and lawns
New sod on graded, prepared ground, or a smaller lawn set into rock and planting beds.
Rock, mulch and edging
Gravel and river rock beds, mulch, and bed edging that keeps rock and mulch out of the grass.
Trees and shrubs
Evergreens, ornamental grasses and shrubs chosen for Colorado sun, wind and dry air.
Sprinkler systems
Irrigation installed with the landscape, plus fall blowouts before the first hard freeze.
Landscape boulders
Boulders set as borders, low walls and accents, like the boulder edge around the putting green in our photos.
Water features
Small stacked-stone bubblers and rock beds that sound good from the patio. There is a short clip of one below.

Low-water yards that still look finished.
Colorado’s semi-arid climate and quick temperature swings are hard on big lawns. Many of our yards pair a smaller lawn with gravel beds, boulders and drought-tolerant plants.
We have had our entire front yard xeriscaped, as well as a new driveway, walkway, and porch replaced… Costs were very reasonable and laid out in a detailed quote and blueprint.

Questions about residential landscaping.
When should I book a sprinkler blowout in Arvada?
Before nighttime temperatures stay below freezing, usually in October. Water left in the lines can freeze and crack pipes and valves, and that turns into a spring repair bill.
How does Colorado’s climate change what you plant?
The dry air, strong sun and big temperature swings rule out a lot of thirsty plants. We pick materials and plants that hold up at altitude and time the work around the seasons.
How should I get ready for a consultation?
Think about your goals, a budget range and timing. Note problem spots like drainage or bare areas, and features you want. We will walk the property and put a plan together.
Do you also build patios and walls?
Yes. Most landscaping jobs include some hardscape. See patios and hardscaping and retaining walls.
